National Express Parts & Warranty Manager in Lisle, Illinois

The Parts and Warranty Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and hands-on maintenance of the warranty and recall efforts as well as the parts procurement catalog database maintenance. Parts and Warranty management includes managing the flow of parts data from suppliers through the internal parts catalog database to fast-track parts searching and purchasing by the maintenance facilities; preparing, recording, tracking, and submitting warranty repair claims completed by the maintenance facilities; and analyzing the subsequent data to help improve company spend and credit performance relating to parts and warranty.

Responsibilities:

  • Process warranty claims on a timely basis for all maintenance facilities.

  • Verify criteria required by OEM and understand each OEMs parts and warranty policies.

  • Prepare both parts and warranty analysis reports for management review.

  • Reconcile warranty receivables and track parts core credit performance for all maintenance facilities.

  • Follow up on payment analysis reports for management review.

  • Track and communicate part return requests on claims and notify the appropriate locations.

  • Track and manage OEM campaigns and recalls that apply to company fleet.

  • Maintain parts catalog data to include parts cross references, pricing and purchasing contracts, and inventory transactional data.

  • Communicate with and advise Area Parts and Warranty Administrators regularly to drive parts and warranty policy and procedural compliance within each area across North America.

  • Organize scheduled inventory reconciliation events and necessary audits across North America to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

  • Four or more years of experience in parts and/or warranty role.

  • Significant Bus, Automotive, or truck technical repair experience a plus; mechanical background preferred.

  • Strong understanding of and experience with OEM vehicle warranty programs, technical bulletins, factory recalls/campaigns, and claims processes.

  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite Software (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access). Oracle or Maximo systems experience a plus.

  • ASE Parts Specialist Certification a plus

  • Solid judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to provide direction and manage resources.

  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and listen effectively with people of diverse opinions and backgrounds.
