What We’re Looking For:

Datavant’s Provider Vertical is primarily responsible for providing release of information services to our provider customers, enabling the fast, secure, and reliable delivery of medical records to authorized requesters. We are looking for an experienced healthcare professional to lead the quality assurance function for the business unit.

As the Quality Assurance Director for the Provider Vertical, you will lead the development and execution of our quality assurance strategy, ensuring that our operational processes meet the highest standards of accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. You will lead the QA team to monitor and evaluate quality trends, identify issues, and implement solutions. You will serve as the connective tissue between teams, collaborating cross-functionally with legal & compliance, product, engineering, and operations to optimize workflows, improve service quality, and mitigate risk.

You will:

  • Develop and Lead the Provider Vertical’s QA Strategy

  • Design and implement a robust quality assurance framework for Provider Operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory and contractual requirements.

  • Set quality benchmarks, define operational metrics, and implement best practices to drive continuous improvement.

  • Establish a structured QA governance model that aligns with business goals, fostering a proactive culture of quality.

  • Monitor and Evaluate Quality

  • Oversee the QA team that will conduct regular assessments of transactions and service delivery processes to ensure adherence to internal and external standards.

  • Perform audits and reviews of service transactions, including intake of requests, release of records, correspondence letters, phone calls, and in-person interactions, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory protocols and customer satisfaction metrics.

  • Identify and monitor trends, patterns, and recurring issues that may impact our compliance risk and implement corrective actions.

  • Define and track KPIs related to quality, turnaround time, error rates, and compliance, providing insights to senior leadership.

  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Stakeholders

  • Partner closely with our legal and compliance teams to identify compliance risks and coordinate on corrective actions.

  • Partner with Provider Operations leadership, Product, and Engineering to enhance service delivery and process automation.

  • Collaborate with Training on programs to ensure operational teams are aligned with quality and compliance requirements.

What you will bring to the table:

  • 8+ years of experience leading QA programs and teams in the healthcare industry.

  • Deep understanding of HIPAA and the healthcare regulatory environment.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement QA frameworks, process controls, and performance monitoring.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging data for process improvement.

  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.

  • BA required; advanced degrees a plus.

The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job. This role is eligible for bonus/commission, and the range below is inclusive of those targets.

The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is:

$174,720—$200,880 USD

The estimated base salary range (not including bonus/commission) for this role is:

$145,600—$167,400 USD
