Posting End Date: July 11, 2024 Employee Type: Regular-Full time Union/Non: This is a non-union position Enbridge Gas Ohio is hiring an External Affairs Representative II that will be responsible for local community and government affairs for Enbridge. The Representative will also assist in developing and maintaining strong relationships with key political, business, economic development, governmental, and media contacts. Here's what you will do: Represent the company at community, civic, and political events. Coordinate and serves as local liaison for relationships with local and state elected and appointed officials, local businesses, business groups, military groups, and other customers. Advocate on issues for utility company and other Enbridge interests Assist with local economic development issues. Investigate and advises community leaders and elected officials on constituent questions, problems, or concerns. Assist with media issues and inquiries. Assist during any major storm event. Who you are: You have: A related Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience and knowledge of government, public policy, economic development, and communications. Excellent writing and public speaking skills. You can: Multi-task, synthesize ideas, and plan strategically. Coordinate work among variety of skill sets. Work well in a grass roots environment. Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
