Junior Financial Analyst

KBR is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to join our team. As a part of one of the world’s largest independent logistics organizations supporting both US Government and commercial agencies, you will be joining a highly talented and experienced KBR Logistics team providing FMS Financial services to all NAVAIR aviation programs.

As a winner of the National Logistics Contract, the selected applicant will work within the Security Cooperation Office (SSCO) composed of government, military, contractor and industry personnel while supporting FMS logistics projects.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as an Assistant to the Senior Budget Financial Analyst (BFM) on major projects and FMS cases.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the BFM in recording allocations, commitments, obligations, and expenditures of the FMS case funds.

  • Maintains and updates accounting records, and supplements FMS financial MILSTRIP accounting data, and provides technical fiscal guidance including reviewing, validating, and processing financial accounting transactions.

  • Most work will be conducted on-site at NAS Patuxent River, MD, however, some domestic and international travel will be required in support of logistics activities.

  • Provides Life Cycle Logistics (LCL) FMS Financial support services for 12 Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements to new and existing Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers. Life cycle sustainment and logistics support services covers all phases of the acquisition life cycle, including new program logistics support, sustainment and disposal. Candidates shall have familiarity with the 12 IPS elements which are:

Product/Program Support Management; Sustaining Engineering; Supply Support; Maintenance Planning & Management; Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T); Technical Data (TD) Management; Support Equipment; Training & Training System Support; Manpower & Personnel; Facilities & Infrastructure; Computer Resources and Design Interface.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and less than three (3) years of work experience in a field related to FMS, Financial, logistics, program management, or a Associate’s degree and four (4) year’s additional work experience in a related field may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

  • Prior experience providing recommendations and implement international program financial requirements for integrated product support (IPS) elements during an international program’s life cycle, including business development, case development, case implementation, and case closure.

  • An active Secret level security clearance or interim Secret clearance. Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

  • Must be able to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.

  • Must be able to travel as required for role.

  • Must be able to operate effectively at remote work sites without direct supervision.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and similar computer-based productivity applications.
