Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic professional to join the Environmental, Health, and Safety Office (EHS) team. The candidate should be a collaborator and possess strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a professional and engaging contributor to the team and be able to work both cooperatively and independently, set priorities, demonstrate strong organizational skills and manage multiple concurrent tasks accurately and reliably. An ability to work successfully with others is essential.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the daily operations of the group, requiring proactive problem-solving skills to ensure seamless functionality. Responsibilities encompass a variety of administrative tasks essential to the group’s efficiency.
This position will be responsible for managing the EHS portion of the Learning Management System (LMS) including scheduling courses, assessing courses needed, arranging for classroom or virtual learning environments, maintaining records, and entering course completion data. The position will be the principal point of contact for the EHS office and Laboratory staff with questions or issues related to EHS in general and the training programs EHS supports. The majority of tasks will be performed within the LMS and is expected to work with the LMS central team to manage and implement new courses as needed.
When not working with the LMS the candidate will perform a wide variety of standard daily administrative support tasks including purchase orders, and responding to questions both in person and by phone, as well as other administrative duties as assigned. The position is expected to be a full-time on-site role supporting a staff of a dozen EHS professionals.
The position will be responsible for the configuration and management of the EHS online and physical file management systems, and will be the content owner for the internal EHS website.
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent is required
At least 2.5 years of directly related experience required. Post high-school education will count toward experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required
Must possess strong administrative skills; self-confidence, mature judgment, cooperative and responsible attitude, and a conscientious and organized approach to work in a changing environment along with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Excellent time management and multitasking skills required
Must have effective administrative skills, attention to detail, be well-organized and able to prioritize multiple complex tasks
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
Experience with SAP ECC highly desirable
U.S Citizenship
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
