Job Title : DD&T Lead – MBO

Location : Lexington, MA

About the role:

We are looking for a Data, Digital, & Technology Leader who will be a key member of the MBO manufacturing plant's Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and will oversee all Data, Digital & Technology related activities for Massachusetts Biologics Operations (MBO).

You will establish an efficient organization embracing Takeda Leadership Behaviors. Plan and set direction for the MBO DD&T team in alignment with the Operating Unit & Site's DD&T Strategy. Manage all activities of internal / external resources within the group. Assure strategic and tactical plans are established, managed, and delivered. Responsible for budget commitments and forecast.

You will help to define and lead data and digital strategies within a biological manufacturing facility.

This is an onsite position that reports to the Head of Data, Digital, & Technology - Biologics OpU.

How you will contribute:

  • Oversee the MBO DD&T team including mentoring, performance management and staffing decisions for a large team or multiple teams. Develop the members of the Site DD&T team to build a succession pipeline.

  • Participate in strategic initiatives, planning process and making digital technology recommendations to increase operational value.

  • Lead the development & execution of the Site's DD&T Strategy. Translate the strategy into a Digital Roadmap with short- and long-term goals and deliverables. Support all DD&T transformational initiatives and apply to existing priorities.

  • Determine and manage priorities, timelines and schedules. Communicate priorities driven from global DD&T to plant level senior leadership to support the DD&T strategy with a "partnership" understanding.

  • Manage a compliant GxP environment. Review team deliverables to ensure quality (design walk-through, test results) and adherence to processes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Participate in all internal and external audits and provide services promptly.

  • Foster a collaborative environment for mentoring, learning, and innovation to help develop employees with digital reskilling opportunities. Demonstrate knowledge of application development, implementations, and end-user experience. Participate in infrastructure decisions and ensure adherence to global corporate standards.

  • Create and manage both Capital and Operational budgets and ensure value realization plus financial accuracy.

  • Develop, gather, and measure relevant productivity metrics. Create operational mechanisms to ensure a stable operating environment.

  • Participate in the site's Senior Leadership Team and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the site achieves its goals in partnership with peer SLT members. Manage or participate on project and follow any applicable EHS requirements.

  • Any other duties as assigned by direct manager.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Bachelor's degree in Management or Technology related field.

  • 15+ years of technology system experience, including 5+ years of people leadership.

  • Must have experience with software application implementations; cloud desirable.

  • Must have experience with a GxP environment and implementing manufacturing technologies to enable a digital plant.

  • Experience in Data & Digital platforms technology desirable.

Important Considerations

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:

  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and other clean room garments daily. This may include safety shoes, safety glasses, aprons, face shields, lab coats, full body gowns, hair nets and gloves and hearing protection.

  • Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.

  • Work in a cold, wet environment.

  • Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.

  • Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$169,400.00 - $266,200.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
