Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Lexington, Kentucky

Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our professional services team in LEXINGTON-FAYETTE, Kentucky. In this role, you will handle various tasks related to credit management, customer communication, document preparation, and administrative duties. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, allowing you to grow and develop your skills within our team.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with the public on matters related to credit and accounts receivable.

• Prepare and draft documents for attorney review, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Monitor client files in our database, making updates and changes as necessary.

• File documents electronically with the KY Court system, adhering to all guidelines and procedures.

• Perform other administrative tasks as required, contributing to the smooth running of our team.

• Quickly learn and understand new software tools and systems to enhance productivity.

• Maintain a high level of organization, managing your workload independently.

• Work collaboratively as a member of the team, contributing to a fast-paced environment.

• Apply your experience with civil litigation, including all aspects of post-judgment execution, to the role.

• Use your skills in Accounts Receivable (AR) to manage customer credit accounts and collect delinquent payments. Requirements • Proven experience in Accounts Receivable or similar role

• Proficiency in using financial software and databases

• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations

• Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Familiarity with data entry and analysis

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred

• Relevant certification (e.g. CPM) will be considered a plus.
