CENTRAL MONTANA CREMATORIUM INC On-Call Crematorium Transporter in LEWISTOWN, Montana

Part time position

WAGE:

$10.30/hr for on-call transporter position for 40 hours (8 hours per day) work weeks.

This position will not require you to be present at the Crematorium but will be required to answer their phone during their assigned on-call period and be able to get to the crematorium within 3 hours from notification for a pickup assignment.

A $100 stipend will be paid when pickup transportation is required.

Earnings are paid by check one week following the pay period.

With advance notice, the incumbent should be available to work an 8-hour shift at the crematorium assisting the office manager. The pay rate will be $13.00 per hour for this 8-hour shift.

DUTIES:

Ability to answer phone and respond within 3 hrs to the crematorium.

Telephone answering, accurate message taking and timely information relay to the appropriate person.

Body transport from local and long-distance homes, hospitals, and nursing centers within the state of Montana.

Other duties as assigned by the Office Manager.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The employee will monitor their phone from home or the location of their choosing within a 60-minute travel distance of Lewistown. When called for transport duties, the employee will travel to the Crematorium located at 100 Cattail Rd in Lewistown. The incumbent will travel to case transports paired with another employee. The company pickup van and equipment will be used. The employee will be trained prior to assignment for a transport and will travel with an experienced transport specialist for the first three months. Meals taken when traveling are paid for by the company credit card with receipts to be submitted upon return.

Transports will occur any time during the day or night. Transports will occur in family homes, nursing care facilities, coroner's office, funeral homes and hospitals. Employees can wear jeans but must be dressed in a presentable fashion to help put the families of the deceased at ease. No torn jeans nor facial piercings are allowed on pickups. There is promotion potential to crematory operator with the company paying for licensing and training.

Note: The Central Montana Crematorium and Crematorium vehicle are no smoking facilities/vehicle.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduate or GED required.

Montana Driver's license and good driving record.

Personal cell phone for contact when required for a pickup and for communications and navigation while traveling on pickup cases.

Employees must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Applicants with nursing assistant or similar experience or certification is desirable.
