NEXUS TREATMENT FACILITY Counselor Technician in LEWISTOWN, Montana

Full time position

HOURS:Position is scheduled to work (4) 10 hour days. .

WAGE: $17/hr

As a critical member of the Treatment Team, the Counselor Technician provides support for programming by performing services such as Program Orientation; Education lectures/special interest groups; file organization; administrative support for Case Management; and monitoring groups. DUTIES:

  1. Provides auxiliary services for clinical staff of the NEXUS Program limited to the following: Orientation of new family members, Education lectures/special interest groups, Collection of homework assignments, Setting up therapeutic charts, Clerical support for counselors, and Monitoring non-therapeutic groups.

  2. Assists family members with program orientation and special needs.

  3. Assists family members as necessary with NEXUS paperwork and forms.

  4. Assists family members as necessary with activities relating to NEXUS correctional programming.

  5. Assists Case Managers, administrative and supervisory staff as directed.

  6. Reviews and Implements NEXUS Urinalysis polices and procedures including administration and collection.

  7. Reviews and Implements NEXUS safety and emergency policies and procedures including, but not limited to the following: fire safety, flammable, toxic, and caustic materials, emergency plans, evacuation drills, and threats to security.

  8. Reviews and Implements NEXUS health care policies and procedures including, but not limited to the management, distribution, and record audits of pharmaceuticals.

  9. Attends staff and program meetings as required by supervisory staff and CCCS, Inc. corporate policies and procedures.

  10. Maintains knowledge of Security Technician duties and responsibilities.

  11. Performs Security Technician duties as directed by Treatment Supervisor.

  12. Performs all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent and two (2) year's experience working in corrections, addictions treatment or other human service program/agency

Solid communication skills

Strong organizational skills

Ability to work with contacts, the public, and co-workers professionally and tactfully

Professional appearance and demeanor

Valid Driver's license

Previous or current supervisory experience
