Central Maine Medical Center Oncology Accreditation Manager in Lewiston, Maine

Essential Duties:

  • Manages and leads on project/work streams related to Oncology Accreditation.

  • Develops standard accreditation/ regulatory workflows and harmonizes activities across accreditation programs to maximize efficiency and continuity.

  • Submits applications and on-going reports to accrediting/regulatory bodies within key deadlines.

  • Prepares for and facilitates on-site surveys. Develops and oversees corrective action plans to address and performance gaps.

  • Partners with clinical leaders to develop, implement and maintain relevant clinical policies and procedures.

  • Monitor ongoing performance, and prepare data-driven internal reports.

  • Maintains current knowledge of accreditation standards and requirements and proactively plans for implementation of any forthcoming changes.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in a healthcare-related field (e.g. nursing, healthcare administration, public health, etc.) preferred

  • Experience with change management / process improvement strategies preferred

  • Project management and accreditation management experience preferred

  • Understanding of CoC and NAPBC accreditation standards preferred

  • Healthcare experience demonstrating an understanding of clinical practices required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A growth mindset with attention to detail that continues to stay up to date on accreditation requirements and continually looks for ways to grow our services

  • Ability to work autonomously at times, while also collaborating across multiple teams

  • Skilled at communication in a variety of formats to a variety of people

  • Exemplifies the kindness and compassion towards others our organization is known for

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products- Excel, PowerPoint, Word

  • Demonstrated ability to direct and triage in a highly fluid dynamic operational environment.

  • Ability to collaborate with all layers of the management/ administration team.
