Job Title: Materials and Process EngineerJob Description

Actalent is currently hiring an Engineer who is looking to join or advance within the aerospace industry in Kansas City. We are seeking a Process Engineering professional with a high level of mechanical aptitude. This role involves developing new manufacturing processes, monitoring material performance, designing equipment layouts, and optimizing operations. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with plant and engineering staff to resolve tool-related issues, conducting laboratory studies, fabricating and joining materials, and researching new chemical processes. The role also entails analyzing and diagnosing manufacturing processes and equipment failures, developing PFMEAs, updating ERP systems, and writing manufacturing work instructions.

Hard Skills

  • Experience with chemical and materials engineering is preferred.

  • Manufacturing experience related to LEAN, 5S, Kaizen, etc.

  • Process development and implementation.

  • ERP system experience.

  • Siemens NX experience is nice to have.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Lenexa, KS.

Work Environment

On-site position, must be comfortable working on the production floor. Schedule is Monday thru Thursday on second shift, 2:30pm-1:00am.
