Visa Associate Risk Management Analyst - Underwriting in Lehi, Utah
The Credit Analyst will be an integral part of our Bundled Acquiring Group and will be responsible for supporting the business needs and underwriting merchant applications for our growing Authorize.Net merchant base. The Underwriting team is primarily responsible to reviewing and making decisions on merchant applications for credit card and ACH processing. The mandate of this team is to identify fraudulent merchants and conduct credit/financial analysis to identify credit risk to protect Visa from financial losses. Specific Responsibilities will include: * Apply appropriate underwriting criteria to prospective merchant applications in accordance with credit policy to ensure financial exposure is appropriately mitigated. * Support overall business needs by ensuring Underwriting group makes quality credit decisions within published SLAs. * Underwrite merchants for credit card processing and eCheck.Net ACH processing. * Team with Sales and Acquiring Partners in order to provide a seamless experience to prospective merchants. * Assist Sales Representatives and Account Management with customer inquiries requiring explanation of specific credit and risk policies and decisions related to those policies. * Interact with merchants professionally on sensitive issues involving credit and adverse decisions. * Ability to quickly adapt to changing fraud trends and learn new processes designed to protect the company from risk and credit related losses. Basic Qualifications * Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelor's Degree Preferred Qualifications * Prior experience with credit underwriting, merchant acquiring, or credit card processing is preferred. * Prior experience with financial analysis, including the ability to review and understand financial statements of both small- and large-sized companies. * Demonstrates commitment to quality, attention to detail and customer service. * Excellent verbal and written communications, interpersonal skills, customer orientation, team interaction, problem solving and multi-tasking skills required. * Must have punctual, regular and consistent attendance. * High School Diploma required, Associate or Bachelor's degree a plus. * Advanced knowledge of Windows/PC including Excel and Word. * Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. * Ability to work with team members by assisting in day-to-day department discussions. * Ability to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance.
