We are offering a contract permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in League City, Texas. In this role, you will be a vital part of our team, focusing on tasks such as cash applications, journal entries, and account reconciliations. You will also handle inventory and sales processing, maintain deal files, and generate monthly Ad Hoc reports. Additionally, your responsibilities will extend to supporting data entry tasks each financial close.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accurate application of cash transactions

• Prepare and manage journal entries

• Perform account reconciliations regularly

• Take responsibility for processing inventory and sales

• Maintain deal files to ensure accurate record-keeping

• Generate monthly Ad Hoc reports for management review

• Assist in data entry tasks during each monthly financial close

Requirements

• Proficiency in preparing and posting Journal Entries

• Expertise in Account Reconciliation

• Solid experience with Cash Applications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

• Demonstrated ability to work in a team as well as individually

• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-judged decisions

• Solid understanding of Office Suite, especially Excel.
