Job Description Summary

We are looking for a Global Integrated Engineering located in Grenoble, to drive the integration and manage the end-to-end implementation of equipment at BD appointed production sites. The engineer will also be responsible for integrating documentation and training plans to facilitate the handover to sites from the located region. This role is crucial in supporting the manufacturing sites globally in their capital deployment of "break-through" and capacity/replacement programs to meet business growth needs.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) with the Engineering Design Team team.

  • Prepare installation plans and fully validate equipment.

  • Manage the integration of new equipment validation and vertical start-up into the existing manufacturing process, ensuring that resources have the capabilities to perform independently.

  • Ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations during equipment or software integration, addressing any issues or roadblocks that may arise.

  • Support the documentation of equipment instructions and process parameters, and provide training to the site on the new equipment and application.

  • Provide ongoing technical assistance during the ramp-up phase to support long-term capability, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) targets, and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.

  • Ensure that new production lines meet quality requirements and standards by implementing quality control measures and promptly addressing any quality-related issues.

  • Ensure equipment and installation conform to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards, international standards, and company policies.

  • Measure equipment performance and optimize performance to minimize downtime.

  • Oversee existing tools and resources needed to support equipment maintenance programs and ensure reliability and uptime.

  • Coordinate the handover to other departments (i.e., operations, maintenance, quality) to ensure smooth production ramp-up and alignment with overall company objectives.

  • Manage adherence to production ramp-up plans to ensure newly installed equipment meets performance targets.

  • Identify and resolve any gaps between expected and actual performance of new CapEx integration during the ramp-up phase.

  • Execute test plans to verify functionality, process windows, performance, and reliability of equipment (i.e., FAT, SAT, Validation, Commissioning, etc.).

  • Perform center lining of equipment to optimize performance.

  • Collaborate with various engineering teams or vendors (i.e., mechanical, electrical, software) to ensure smooth integration of respective equipment, subsystems, and components.

  • Coordinate alignment meetings with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure specifications are met and any vendor-related issues are resolved.

  • Identify opportunities to improve integration processes, tools, and methodologies through industry best practices and emerging technologies.

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment integration and process implementation.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment validation.

  • Experience with quality control measures and adherence to EHS standards.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.

  • MedTech industry's experience would be a big plus

This role is located in our global headquarter in Pont de Claix (Grenoble area) and offers a 2 days from home working option aligned with BD working policy.
