We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented team player to join our Business Development & Marketing Team as a Marketing Communications Coordinator. You’ll collaborate with and learn from a talented team of legal marketing pros in multiple disciplines, creating persuasive internal and external communications that promote the firm’s 70+ practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide support to the firm’s overall Communication efforts.

  • Assist with the creation and production of newsletters for internal and external audiences.

  • Create and submit responses to various industry and geographic-based award nominations.

  • Assist with ongoing maintenance and updates of attorney website biographies.

  • Produce and track firm advertisements for business, sponsorship and charitable needs.

  • Facilitate firm responses to surveys and directories for industry and business publications.

  • Assist with continual maintenance and upkeep of firm website and intranet content.

  • Provide assistance with creating, reviewing and editing Power Point presentations for attorney speaking engagements and firm events.

  • Working with the team of writers to create, edit and proofread copy for a variety of marketing collateral uses, such as practice descriptions, client alerts, brochures, podcast scripts, event invitations, attorney recruiting materials, social media posts, infographics and more.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Other marketing projects and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES):

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Equivalent work experience is considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of marketing, writing and/or editing experience. Prior professional services experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Organized, with experience managing multiple projects.

  • Able to juggle competing deadlines.

  • Professionalism and strong organizational skills.

  • Solid writing, editing and proofreading skills.

  • Familiarity with AP Style a plus.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams.

  • Solid knowledge of MS Office suite required.

  • Experience with WordPress.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.

VISUAL ACUITY

Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
