Terracon Consultants, Inc. seeks Senior Staff Engineer in Lawrenceville, GA.
- Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects.
- Participate in pre-task planning.
- Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Maintain quality standards on all projects.
- Develop the scope of work for routine projects.
- Prepare cost estimates, specifications, and other project related documents.
- Analyze data and perform engineering calculations and analysis.
- Coordinate and supervise field investigations, laboratory testing, and evaluation of respective data, development of recommendations.
- Develop plans, schedules, conducts, and/or coordinates detailed phases of assigned project work.
- Make design recommendations, adaptations and modifications.
- Prepare work scope, proposals and reports and plans investigations for approval by senior level professionals for routine projects.
- Interact with client and project team in developing scope of services and communicating project progress.
- Works under the supervision of an Authorized Project Reviewer.
Requires a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, and 3 years of related experience.
Qualified candidates must possess any amount of experience in all of the following:
- Project management as it relates to construction, including estimating, scheduling, and safety.
- On-time project delivery, maintaining safety standards, purchase of necessary equipment for the projects and managing technicians working on the project.
- Determining settlement, consolidation and shear strength properties of improved soils before and after ground improvement procedures and slope stability analysis.
- Performing field tests to obtain and report geotechnical design parameters.
