We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper in Methuen, Massachusetts. This role involves managing financial records and transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and managing payroll. You will be working in the education industry, utilizing your skills to maintain and improve our financial health.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliation.

• Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank account.

• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.

• Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested.

• Conduct regular ledger reviews and reconciliations.

• Monitor office expenses and tally and enter cash receipts.

• Maintain the annual budget and chart of accounts.

• Perform account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts.

• Maintain the general ledger chart of accounts.

• Assist with initial internal control evaluations.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper.

• Familiarity with general Accounting Functions is essential.

• The candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate a high degree of accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is required.

• Should have the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
