The Lava Hot Springs Foundation currently has an opening for a full-time Customer Service Representative 1!

Lava Hot Springs Foundation Mission Statement: To ensure that the public has access to healthful clean and inviting facilities for recreation and healing purposes.

Description: To provide customer service and specialized information; assist individuals in securing services; and perform related work.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

Employees in this classification will spend approximately 60% of their time greeting visitors and answering the telephone. Typically, office support tasks will comprise less than 40% of total work time. At this level, incumbents must possess good knowledge of department programs and services to provide and obtain accurate information, explain and apply rules, policies, and procedures, determine eligibility for available services and refer people to the appropriate department or staff. A high degree of confidentiality is often involved in performing work in a public facing area. This level can be distinguished from this position the requirement for independently applying program knowledge to screen for services and assist individuals. Questioning customers to obtain detailed information in a business setting; reviewing documents and records for accuracy and completeness; accessing data using a computerized records system. Experience with accounts payable/receivable. Question customer to determine their needs or purpose of their visit. Duties include answering phones, screening, and channeling calls, and taking messages, receiving money, making change and issuing receipts, verifying completeness of shift reports and deposits.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

  • Questioning customers to obtain detailed information in a public facing business setting.

  • Explaining policies, procedures, or rules.

  • Independently handling complaints and upset individuals in a business setting.

  • Answering a business telephone using knowledge of business telephone procedures and etiquette.

  • Reviewing documents and records for accuracy and completeness.

  • Accessing data using a computerized records system.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:

  • Incumbents question customers to determine their needs or purpose of their visit.

  • This position is responsible for monitoring patron safety in the pool area. CPR, AED, and First Aid training is required and is supplied through the employer.

  • This position communicates activities, identifies potential problems, and recommends corrective actions to supervisor.

  • This position may involve dealing with hostile or angry individuals.

  • Incumbents will be required to work rotating days, nights and holiday shifts.
