Housekeeping Utility Clerk Aquarius (Laughlin, NV)

Description:

General Summary

The Utility Clerk is responsible for the maintenance (excluding electrical) of all machinery to include vacuums, extracting machines and Guest Room Attendant/Runner carts. The Utility Clerk is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness for all tools, supplies and parts utilized by the department. Maintains overall housekeeping and cleanliness of areas i.e., basement, spare linen rooms (24) and amenities storage areas. Responsible for any other duties deemed necessary by management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Remove supplies from the loading dock and bring to the basement storage, distributing in proper placement.

  • Responsible to keep accurate inventory and distribution records of all supplies to include chemicals.

  • Complete weekly and monthly inventory of all supplies and submit to management.

  • Provide management with daily linen inventory counts for both towers by the end of shift (two hour project).

  • Responsibilities include the proper labeling of all chemicals and accurate account of MSDS sheets.

  • Assists with cleanliness of hard floors and carpeted areas in the hotel towers, including guest rooms, corridors, spare linen rooms and basement areas.

  • Responsible to ensure all equipment is properly maintained (excluding electrical issues) and stored after each shift.

  • Identifies areas of the hotel that need cleaning, in addition to cleaning areas assigned by management.

  • Able to move heavy/large pieces of furniture to include mattresses, cabinets, chairs, desks, etc.

  • Wrap and discard mattress(s) that are no longer in use by property.

  • Cleans under glass in suites as needed.

  • Cleans hard water deposits from tub and sink faucets as needed.

  • Cleans irons.

  • Deep cleans rubber bathmats.

  • Able to run extraction equipment and perform bio clean ups (water flows).

  • Remove soiled / BIO mattress and box springs from the guestrooms by wrapping and disposing in large dumpsters.

  • Installs hair dryer.

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

  • Provide outstanding guest service to all internal and external guests

Requirements:

Job Specifications – Qualifications

  • Previous carpet care experience strongly preferred.

  • Must be able to communicate in written and verbal form in English.

  • Mechanical knowledge of extractors, vacuum and other Housekeeping equipment preferred.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all cards required by the company.

  • Must be able to verify right to work in the U.S.

Working Conditions – Physical Requirements

  • Regularly walk, stand or stoop up to 80% of shift.

  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Frequently lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

  • Need to distinguish between shades of color.

  • Communicate via radios.

  • Use of pallet jack is required.

  • Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
