Security FCC Officer The Strat (Las Vegas, NV)

Description:

Summary:Monitors Fire Command Center (FCC) panels and computers to provide a safe environment for guests, employees, the company, and its property. Promotes outstanding employee, guest, and vendor relations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Monitors FCC panels for Alarms and reports issues to Facilities and Security Dispatch

  • Interacts with vendors and employees in a professional manner and interacts with local law enforcement agencies, such as the Las Vegas Fire Department and Fire Marshall as required

  • Issues hot works permits to vendors and Facilities employees, keeping a detailed log and time frame of issue and return, notifying Security Dispatch of issue and return

  • Keeps detailed logs of all events as it pertains to the FCC panels and system

  • Provides direction of supervisors and engineers in the event of an alarm

  • Contacts the Las Vegas Fire Department and S.A.F.E Call Center communicating with them in the event of an alarm

  • Contacts Facilities dispatch to report any trouble, supervisory, or other issues with the system that do not result in an alarm

  • Keeps Facilities Director and Security Director informed of any issues in the FCC room

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position

  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year experience in a same or similar role

  • Previous law enforcement, military, fire and/or EMT experience preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

  • Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and other related documents

  • Ability to read blueprints and property schematics

  • Ability to multitask, and deal with stressful events

  • Possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills as well as excellent attention to detail

  • Proven experience providing high level of guest service

  • Previous experience working with a Fire Command Center panels

  • Efficient using computers, including but not limited to Word and Excel

  • Must be at least 21 years old

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal

  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

  • Verify right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements

  • Constantly work indoors and outdoors, stand, and walk throughout the property

  • Occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. above head

  • Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels

  • Occasionally bend, and/or stoop

  • Regularly squat, kneel, and sit

  • Occasionally push/pull up to 75 lbs.

  • Occasionally run throughout assigned working zone as situations dictate

  • Constant use of hearing and vision, distinguish between shades of color

  • Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity

  • Ability to ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding, stairs and ramps

  • Hearing, vision, speech, and literacy (critical)
