Allegiant Stadium

Job Summary

It is the primary responsibility of the painter to upkeep of the internal & external Allegiant Stadium property. To Include but not limited to, painting, drywall repairs, and wallpapering as identified by or assigned to daily. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures.

Essential Functions

  • As a Painter, you will be responsible for painting of walls, ceilings, doors, furniture, and other misc. finishes as assigned.

  • The painter is responsible for painting, plastering/patching repairing walls, applying spackle, taping of sheet rock, and wallpapering public areas “internal/external”, to ensure a safe, efficient well-maintained Stadium environment.

  • Prepare and paint surfaces of building structure, furniture and equipment using proper application techniques and various products.

  • Install and repair covered wall and ceiling surfaces throughout the facility.

  • Prepare and maintain wood surfaces requiring staining, varnishing, and lacquering.

  • Erect scaffolding, use of ladders and lifts.

  • Covering trim, floor, furniture, and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective covering to keep them free of paint.

  • Removing and reinstalling fixtures (doorknobs, electric switch covers) as necessary.

  • Clean all work areas after completing daily work assignments.

  • Maintain an inventory of supplies such as paint brushes, roller and tape, paint and tarps.

  • Ensure that SDS sheets are maintained for every paint, stain and solvents that is used in the painting department.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., push and /or pull items up to 150lbs.

  • Ability to withstand prolonged walking, standing, bending, pushing, climbing, kneeling and heights.

  • Possess visual ability to identify colors and patterns, measure lengths and quantities and assess areas for repair.

  • Work indoors and outdoors and be exposed to environmental factors such as excessive noise, seasonal heat and cold, hard to reach and unclean work areas, and hazardous material and equipment.

  • Must have basic computer knowledge and understanding of work order systems.

  • Requires attention to detail, good organizational skills and must be friendly and courteous.

  • Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision.

  • Works effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule to produce accurate results.

  • Excellent customer service skills, positive attitude, with the ability to work in cooperation with others.

  • Knowledge of vinyl, paper, fabric, and foil wall covering of various weights.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor, always following uniform policy.

  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
