Medical Lead Assistant

Location: 3041 E Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, NV

Schedule: Wednesday through Saturday 8 AM to 7 PM

The Medical Assistant Lead you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative leadership to the non-physician clinical staff assuring compliance with workflows, policies and procedures.

How you will make an impact:

• Provides front and/or back office support.

• Oversees patient check in by ensuring medical records/charts have been pulled, patient data is current, appropriate paperwork is in order, and charts are reviewed/prepared.

• Interviews patient, measures vital signs and records reason for visit.

• Explains procedures, performs treatments, and administers prescribed medication.

• Oversees patient check out by scheduling follow up appointments, collecting co-payments, and ensuring paperwork is complete.

• Schedules and confirms patient's appointments.

• Reconciles co-payments daily.

• Participates in the interviewing process for new hires and training of new associates.

• Conducts monthly staff meetings.

• Implements clinical policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires a H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 3 year of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

• Requires an active, current and valid Medical Assistant certification.

• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) may be required.

• For Carelon Health business unit, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

• For Simply Health business unit, phlebotomy background strongly preferred.

* For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $19.92 to $29.87

Locations: Nevada
