FirstService Residential Accounts Receivable in Las Vegas, Nevada

Job Overview:

The role is to drive customer satisfaction through prompt, customer-friendly maintenance of accounts and customer records. The ideal candidate will flawlessly track and document our process to ensure a positive customer experience. This individual will need excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision. The focus will be posting charges and credits on homeowner accounts, and reviewing accounts for discrepancies. Routine Audits upon request. Responsibility will also include directing accounting issues to the appropriate area within Client Accounting to ensure that issues and concerns are resolved. A background in the HOA industry is preferred.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for posting charges and credits to Homeowner accounts.
  • Responsible for processing account change forms through the internal portal.
  • Research, identify, and analyze discrepancies and recommend clear solutions.
  • Clear communication to aid and assist our community.
  • Work as a team member and in accordance with FirstService Global Service Standards.
  • Operate within GAAP and FirstService Accounting guidelines.
  • Ensure all customer contact is handled in accordance with established procedures.
  • Must possess time management and organization skills to effectively prioritize multiple objectives and achieve volume goals.
  • Interacts successfully with all levels of management and with homeowners, by phone, email, and/or in person.
  • Face-to-face communication in the lobby with owners.
  • Assist and support other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent people, team building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Applications, especially Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient math skills to include basic application and percentages.
  • Ability to make sound business decisions and work effectively with little or no supervision.
  • Strong Time Management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information/discretion must be used in releasing any information.
  • Willingness and aptitude to learn new tasks.
  • Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle a large volume.
  • Ability to successfully work with a wide range of personnel including community managers, assistants, Board Members, and all levels of management personnel.
  • At least two years of experience in Accounts Receivable.
  • Experience in working with computerized General Ledger Accounting Systems.
  • Proven high degree of accuracy along with an attention to detail for numbers.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 10 Key Proficient.
  • Proficient in English.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to freely move about the office and building.
  • Must be able and willing to work a variety of hours in order to meet the requirements of the position, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Work Location : Las Vegas, NV

Work Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
