BrightStar Home Health of Pinellas County is hiring a PRN Nurse to perform home healthcare visits throughout Pinellas County. We are NOT a Medicare agency; your paperwork is fairly basic and short! Duties: Teach clients how to infuse medications Perform wound care Give injections Complete drug studies Provide disease-process teaching to clients and their families (diabetes, COPD, HTN, etc.). Perform supervisory duties to field staff Rotate clinical on-call services (must be available on some evenings and weekends) Requirements, Education, and Experience: Successful completion of an RN program Active Florida Nursing License Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an RN in a home health setting Traveling throughout Pinellas County is required; must be willing to drive Ability to pass AHCA Level 2 Background Screening, public record background check, driving record check, and drug test CPR Self-directing with the ability to work under little direct supervision Demonstration of effective oral and written communication skills Ability to express spoken and written ideas in English Empathy for the needs of the client Treat clients, staff, and the public with courtesy and respect; work as a team member Present a positive public image Ensure confidentiality and security of the client’s medical information Proficiency with computer skills and organizational skills Join the BrightStar family!
