Lansing Urgent Care Human Resource Manager in Lansing, Michigan

The

Human Resources Manager leads and manages the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the facility including employment and compliance; recruiting and staffing; employee orientation, onboarding, and training; performance management and improvement; employee retention and engagement; policy development; employee relations and compensation, payroll, and benefits administration.  Provides support and guidance to facility management and employees with a focus on consistent employment practices.

The primary responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides expertise and support in Human Resources Administration including policy and procedure, employer/employee relations, HR strategy, regulatory compliance, and employment law.  Provides guidance on interpretation of policies and procedures
  • Leads a team of highly engaged members through hiring, orienting, performance assessment, and management, motivation, training, scheduling, and coaching to meet business goals and ensure effective and efficient department operation
  • Designs and implements retention initiatives including rewards and recognition and engagement
  • Develops and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee moral, motivation, and engagement.  Provides coaching and conflict resolution for managers and employees
  • Administers benefits programs including timely enrollment, processes unemployment and worker's compensation claims and leave benefits
  • Manages employee performance through updated job descriptions and competencies, timely evaluations, and merit increases as appropriate
  • Manages an equitable and competitive compensation program.  Develops and maintains company salary/wage scale
  • Analyzes training needs to design employee development and onboarding programs
  • Prepares and manages company payroll and oversees all payroll-related responsibilities among the management team
