The Lansing Board of Water & Light has an opening for an* Analyst, Supply Chain*, located in Lansing, MI.

 

Job Type: Full-Time Starting Salary Range: $72,500-$87,100

 

Position Summary: Perform various analytical and operational tasks required by the Supply chain department. Duties include analysis of material movements, key performance indicator tracking and reporting, creating, and maintaining operational procedures and supporting procurement and warehousing functions.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Gather data and create charts for departmental Key Performance Indicators.
  • Utilize key performance indicators to develop recommendations for optimizing business performance.
  • Monitor, track, and report on market indicators such as lead times, costs, and supply shortages.
  • Create, update, and maintain departmental operating procedures with the input of departmental staff.
  • Utilize these procedures as a basis for process improvement recommendations based on trends identified through KPI tracking. Develops accompanying workflow charts for processes in alignment with ISO 55001 initiatives.
  • Analyze monthly inventory adjustments and make recommendations for improving material management.
  • Manage department project timelines, action items, and deliverables.
  • Maintain vendor scorecard and make recommendations for improving the vendor management process.
  • Analyze new stock requests, fluctuations in re-orders, and changes in usage to assist with stocking-level decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain contract expiration date tracking and quarterly reporting process.
  • Prepare department for quarterly and annual budget to actual review meetings.
  • At times may support purchasing functions by processing PO acknowledgments, maintaining vendor insurance documents, tracking, and reporting COI expirations, assisting with RFP process functions, and overseeing PO delivery performance tracking and reporting.
  • Expected to comply with all BWL policies and work rules.
  • Predictable and reliable attendance.
  • Other duties as required by the Manager.
