Lancaster, NY. Safran AVOX Systems Zodiac Aerospace. Manufacturing Engineer. FT. Benefits. $65,000-$95,000/Year.
Responsible for lean deployment and implementation, cost reduction development, production readiness for new programs, methods improvement, capital expenditure justification, plant layout, operational procedures and special projects upon request.
- Manufacturing and continuous improvement programs: a. Assist and drive flow improvement projects b. Work with design engineers on new product development, design for manufacturability, and house of quality deployment.
- Project Expenditure Justification: a. Analyze proposed requests for cost reduction or necessity for operation b. Work with suppliers to obtain equipment quotes
- Cost Reduction a. Analyze cost reduction possibilities and develop cost reduction proposals b. Develop cost comparison of present and proposed methods c. Implement cost reductions and follow-up to assure attainment d. Conduct time studies to verify labor savings
Job Requirements: Education- Required- BS Degree Engineering or Technical field with 5 years experience.
Preferred- Related additional years of experience may be substitute for education.
Experience- Required- Minimum five years in a general manufacturing environment preferred. 2 years experience with lean deployment. Proficiency with CAD, autocad preferred.
