The Opportunity.The Quality Control Inspector provides Quality Control support to ensure that products provided are in accordance with customer quality requirements. They work as directed by the Quality Manager. They regularly interact with customer’s quality requirements and assures compliance with quality standards and quality program requirements. In addition, the QC Inspector is responsible for conducting tests, taking and analyzing measurements and overseeing production process compliance to Company QMS.
The Job. The Quality Control Inspector will perform basic inspections by completing visual checks on products to identify surface defects, misalignments, or incorrect assembly and dimensional checks using measuring tools like calipers, gauges, or micrometers to verify product dimensions against specifications. Additionally, monitoring production processes to ensure they are following established procedures, checking incoming materials for quality upon delivery and inspecting products at various stages of production to catch issues early. Lastly, the Quality Inspector will conduct a final quality check on completed products before shipment and complete inspection reports, documenting defects, and recording data on quality control forms and communicating any quality issues to production personnel and supervisors immediately
Requirements
Basic understanding of quality control principles: Familiarity with concepts like tolerance, sampling, and inspection methods
Attention to detail: Ability to identify even minor defects or inconsistencies
Basic math skills: Ability to perform calculations for measurements and data recording
Mechanical aptitude: Familiarity with basic hand tools and measuring instruments
Good communication skills: Ability to clearly report quality issues to supervisors and production staff
Ability to follow instructions: Adherence to established procedures and work standards
