Posting End Date: June 04, 2024 Employee Type: Regular-Full time Union/Non: This is a non-union position Enbridge Gas Ohio is hiring a Gas Construction Compliance Consultant who will provide subject matter expertise in gas operations construction compliance activities, including leading and participating on cross-functional best practice teams across Gas Distribution focused on construction activities and Best Management Practices (BMPs). The Consultant will also facilitate collaborative team discussions, develop work products, monitor implementation progress, and provide milestone updates to senior sponsors to ensure team goals are met. Are you interested? Apply today!! Here's what you will do: Participate in RCA discussions and may lead the business for specific short-term and long-term corrective actions. May lead, manage, and direct project team members, third party inspectors, and other third-party personnel associated with the construction of the project. Identify and develop BMPs to support efficient, compliant operations and shares across Gas Distribution business units. Monitor opportunities for continuous process improvement. Consult with the Construction Supervisors and Engineering design staff to provide technical and field support to ensure project completion in a timely, safe, and efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable construction BMPs. Provide consultation on work standards, procedures, and best management practices which support distribution and transmission construction and operations activities. Work with design, inspection, and pipeline contractors to raise awareness of construction expectations and reinforces training provided by Safety and Environmental, including implementation of construction BMPs. Work proactively to identify trends and potential performance issues with pipeline contractors and discusses proactive resolutions with contractor owners/leadership. Liaison for the business with Environmental Policy and Environmental Compliance Teams. Who you are: You have: A minimum of 7 years of relevant exempt work experience in directly related field. Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to lead and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills Previous experience fully executing projects. Strong customer service orientation Understanding of natural gas; pipeline safety and integrity programs, operations, and related issues including knowledge of Company SOP's and Design and Construction Manual Knowledge of environmental policies and best management practices as they relate to construction and operations activities. Knowledgeable in all aspects of pipeline construction including clearing, grading, ditching, padding, backfilling, restoring ROW, installing concrete and supports, hydrostatic testing, pressure testing, etc. You are: Comfortable working in a diverse environment including supporting field personnel. You can: Independently resolve complex problems in a timely manner. Preferred Assets: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Construction Management or Engineering.
