Martin/Martin, Inc. Senior Accountant in Lakewood, Colorado
Description:Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate group in our Lakewood, Colorado office. The Senior Accountant will support the Controller/DOO in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting team by assisting in the preparation of monthly reports, processing of stock transactions, maintenance of asset lists, and training of accounting staff.
EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES * Prepare and post journal entries * Prepare and analyze account reconciliations * Assist with preparation of external audit information * Assist in researching, developing, and testing new processes * Assist with maintaining fixed asset records * Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes * Assist in preparation of monthly reports * Assist with corporate registrations * Process client refunds and any research necessary to verify the refund amount * Assist with year-end government tax filing such as W2's, 1099's, and ACA filing * Process billings, vendor invoices, client receipts, and payroll * Other duties as assigned Requirements:REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in accounting similar field * 3-5 years of accounting experience * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Excellent interpersonal skills * Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product * Ability to establish and meet deadlines * Able to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Intermediate knowledge of Ajera, Paylocity, and Microsoft Office * Corporate accounting experience * Experience in professional services firms, preferably architecture/engineering/construction
