RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides secretarial and analytical support to the Chief Financial Officer, Member Care Supervisor, & Supervisor of Accounting. Responsible for regular occurring accounting tasks and duties.
DUTIES PERFORMED REGULARLY INCLUDE:
Assist Accounting and Billing with regular duties and special projects.
Maintain up to date knowledge and skills necessary to train new hires how to use NECs system software to complete department processes and procedures.
Train Financial Services employees as needed.
Act as the point of contact for assistance and preparation of department travel requisitions. Prepare department travel requisitions as needed.
Document/Update policies and procedures for all aspects of Financial Services.
Create/Update flyers, documents and checklists.
Assist with Capital Credits and allocations.
Assist and coordinate member account bankruptcy issues with Billing.
Schedule & organize meetings and events for Financial Services.
Provide follow up assignments and maintain meeting minutes and other records.
Assist CFO with ACC/NMPRC complaints and other related tasks and duties.
Assist CFO, Billing and Accounting with various year-end, quarterly and monthly reports and filings.
Assist in preparing job openings for the Financial Services Department.
Assist in expense reports for Financial Services.
Write and distribute email, memos, letters, faxes, forms and mail.
Performs other duties assigned.
Formal Education
High school education or equivalent
Associates degree in Business Administration preferred.
Previous Job Experience
Five (5) years of experience in related position(s).
One (1) year electric utility experience preferred.
Special Skills
Ability to utilize and train others in NECs system software processes and procedures.
Ability to communicate well with members, both written and verbal.
Ability to type proficiently and accurately.
Ability to make sound decisions and use good judgment.
Have high organizational ability.
Proficiency with Microsoft products.
High proficiency with Microsoft excel.
Accounts Payable and Payroll knowledge preferred.
Have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona drivers license within 30 days of employment.
