Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:
POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is currently seeking a talented structural drafting student for a June 2025 summer internship in our Pacific Civil Structural Substation Group in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Under the guidance of experienced staff, the successful candidate will learn to draft substation structures and foundations as well as apply industry and client drafting standards.
In addition to working under the guidance of experienced team members, the selected intern will also participate in sessions designed to develop your skills and provide networking opportunities. Those sessions include:
Professional Development sessions focused on resume writing, interview tips, building a LinkedIn profile, and more.
Early Talent Speaker Series where leaders speak to interns about their role, vision for the company, and career path, offer career advice, and a Q&A session.
Fun Friday activities where interns company-wide join to network and have some fun while doing it.
Required Education/Experience
Pursuit of an associate degree in civil/structural drafting or equivalent technical education from an accredited college
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented, well organized, ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Computer literacy and the ability to learn new software efficiently
Candidate is legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship
Desired Education/Experience
Experience in 2D drafting using AutoCAD and/or Microstation
Experience working with scales and setting up layouts/viewports/paper spaces
Familiarity with creating bill of materials
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills will be critical for the successful completion of tasks

Base Salary Range: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike.
