HNTB Corporate Real Estate Construction Support Specialist in Lake Mary, Florida

This opportunity entails being responsible for providing support and resources for the real estate team and local office leaders during the construction phases of projects. The Corporate Real Estate Construction Support Specialist applies construction knowledge to perform assignments and assist the real estate team with tracking all project budgets and schedules. This position maintains project data and inputs it into a database for tracking and reporting, coordinates office moves, tracks invoices and payments for construction projects; and oversees smaller furniture or other real estate-related projects.
This position can be located at a variety of HNTB office locations.
What You'll Do:
Prepares meeting agendas and minutes and assists in processing and maintaining tracking logs for RFIs, submittals, pay estimates, and other deliverables in a database alongside construction managers.
Supports, organizes, and monitors office move meetings; assigns move coordination tasks and activities and oversees office openings and decommissioning of vacated offices.
Reviews lease documents, ensuring compliance with move-in conditions, requirements, and surrender conditions for vacated spaces.
Reviews vendor quotes and invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with approved budgets.
Examines project data related to budgets and schedules, ensuring accuracy, thoroughness, and consistency.
Consults with construction managers on project progress and construction challenges and contributes to issue resolution efforts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
Associates degree in relevant field and 4 years relevant experience, or
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field and 2 years relevant experience
What You'll Bring:
Analyzes and comprehends project budgets and schedules, offering valuable feedback and insights.
Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite and other computer software at an intermediate level.
Demonstrates the ability to accurately calculate intricate pay and numerical quantities.
Recognizes, documents, and appropriately escalates change conditions as needed.
Possesses an intermediate understanding of project document controls (e.g., materials documentation, RFI, contractor payment, contractor records) with guidance from senior staff.
Proactively takes initiative and follows through on tasks to achieve objectives.
Actively participates in collaborative efforts, fostering teamwork and shared success.
Conveys information clearly and concisely, ensuring effective communication with team and stakeholders.
Demonstrates a commitment to personal growth and continuous improvement.
What We Prefer:
Proficient in general database management, Procore, Open Space or similar preferred
Ability to travel 25% - 50% per month to visit sites and office locations.
