Lake George Park Commission LGPC Field Technician - Seasonal in Lake George, New York
The Commission is seeking a qualified individual to assist the agency in its field duties for the summer and fall of 2024. Primary activities include undertaking inspections of septic systems through the Commissions new program, data entry and follow-up with property owners within the program, assisting agency regulatory staff on field compliance inspections and other similar work.
Responsibilities:
* Undertake in-office and field training to ensure detailed understanding of septic systems and how to undertake inspections, including technical and social aspects of the position
* Conducting visual inspections and evaluations of homeowner septic systems, in concert with the property owner, their agent, and/or the septic hauler
* Accessing and utilizing the Commissions regulatory database system to input field data and generate appropriate reports
* Assisting other Commission staff and program managers with field work including dock inspections, stormwater inspections, data collection activities and similar work
* Traveling to various locations throughout the Lake George watershed in a Commission vehicle
