Job Description
We are seeking a Heavy Structures Mechanic 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will support a contingent maintenance program with multiple openings available to ensure coverage for various shifts. You will troubleshoot, repair, and service aircraft and engine and airframe systems. Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions, performing maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly, and adjustments of various aircraft systems according to technical specifications and engineering instructions. You will also assemble and make major assembly structures such as fuselage panels and bulkheads, and structural subassemblies like rudders, flaps, and stabilizers. This role requires alignment of parts on jigs using templates and fixtures, performing minor part-fitting operations, and verifying dimensions using micrometers and calipers. You may modify assemblies to incorporate changes, monitor and verify quality, and provide technical support to maintenance managers, propulsion/airframe engineers, and customers. Additional duties include performing corrosion control, preflight and post-flight maintenance inspections, fuel sampling, miscellaneous aircraft servicing tasks, and entering maintenance records.
