Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Medical Front Desk Specialist in Laguna Woods, California. In the healthcare industry, this role involves managing front office operations, coordinating patient care, and maintaining effective communication with various departments.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out procedures

• Schedule patients for procedures and follow-ups, ensuring smooth operations

• Verify insurance benefits and communicate effectively with the billing and preauthorization department

• Utilize NextGen EHR for data entry tasks, maintaining accurate patient records

• Contribute to the expansion of the clinic by providing exceptional customer service and showing initiative

• Handle receptionist duties, including answering multi-line phone systems

• Verify and process medical insurance details, ensuring accuracy and compliance

• Use Microsoft Office Suites and Microsoft Teams for various administrative tasks

• Collaborate with the team to learn about advanced minimally invasive vein treatments

• Ensure a wonderful patient care experience by paying attention to detail and maintaining a positive, outgoing demeanor. Requirements • Proficiency in handling multi-line phone systems and managing high volume calls

• Extensive experience with NextGen software for healthcare management

• Ability to handle medical insurance billing processes efficiently

• Comprehensive understanding of medical insurance policies and procedures

• Proficiency in medical insurance verification processes

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suites, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Experience with Microsoft Teams for effective remote collaboration

• Prior experience with receptionist duties, including appointment scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and document management.
