Position Description:

CGI is actively seeking a Senior AI/ML and Emerging Tech Expert to join our team and play a crucial role in advancing our AI/ML and emerging technology initiatives within our Federal Portfolio. As part of our Emerging Technologies Practice, you will be responsible for development activities, collaborating closely with our internal and external clients to develop and enhance AI-driven solutions. We are looking for a passionate and creative problem solver who is eager to learn and make a significant impact.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise in AI and machine learning on everything from proofs of concept to production-level solutions, . Your responsibilities will include harnessing the power of large datasets, applying best practices in MLOps, conducting data mining and analysis, building and deploying models, designing algorithms, and conducting simulations.

Experience in AI application development is a significant advantage, as you will have the opportunity to design and implement AI-driven solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Your insights and data-driven approach will drive tangible business outcomes and innovation.

This positions preferred location is Lafayette, LA, Lebanon, VA, Belton, TX, Knoxville, TN or Fairfax, VA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

As a Senior AI/ML Engineer focused on developing AI applications, you will be at the forefront of pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Here are some of the technical duties you can expect to encounter:

Work across a myriad of technology stacks in Azure, AWS, and GCP

Deliver against the strategic roadmap for AI and Analytics architectures

Ensure best practices and patterns are being implemented for Ai & analytic solutions

Coordinate with client teams & engineering teams and other stakeholders to build- monitor- and maintain a high-performance cloud infrastructure via automation in both production and non-production environments

Support client development opportunities

Architect and develop complex AI pipelines

Stay current on cutting-edge AI techniques

Optimize AI models for real-world deployment

Contribute to the development of generative AI applications

Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers: Developing robust AI applications requires a team effort. You'll work closely with data scientists to define problems, prepare data, and evaluate models. You'll also collaborate with software engineers to integrate AI capabilities into existing systems and ensure seamless functionality.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

A bachelor's or master's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or a related field

10 + yrs. of experience in designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML and/or data science solutions

*Requirements may be adjusted or waived in consideration of relevant, distinguishing experience in the AI space

Proven experience in designing and integrating AI/GenAI with other products.

Expertise in AI Application Development: Proven ability to design, develop, and deploy real-world AI applications.

Generative AI Proficiency: Deep understanding of generative AI models and experience in utilizing them for creative content generation.

Machine Learning Mastery: Strong foundation in machine learning algorithms and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Programming Proficiency: Fluency in Python and familiarity with other relevant languages (e.g., Java, C++).

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage clients and convey complex AI concepts in an understandable manner.

Good knowledge of Industry AI use cases\

Desired qualifications:

A portfolio of successful AI projects and a record of thought leadership in the field is a plus.

Experience in full stack development definite plus

Azure/AWS/GCP certifications

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $122,200.00 - $240,600.00.
