As a Junior Category Development Manager Garden Gourmet, you can build and grow our famous plant-based Nestlé brand in out-of-home (OOH) with our customers. You can contribute to Garden Gourmet’s geographical expansion beyond Switzerland by developing and being responsible for brand/category strategy and execution based on Strategic Business Unit (SBU) and regional priorities as well as Nestlé Professional Switzerland and Austria Food overall objectives and strategy. You will ensure the implementation of a Brand Road Map in line with the local food strategy & drive and deliver the local KPIs for the brand and its categories being responsible for and through flawless execution of brand road map. The gastronomy is currently evolving rapidly, giving the opportunity to win with new, innovative concepts and business models. A Day in the Life of a Junior Category Development Manager Garden Gourmet

  • Propose optimizations for product portfolio, considering the customer needs, market potential, competitors and financial performance.

  • Ensure efficient and correct (according to the processes) launch of Innovation & Renovation (I&R) from ideation to post-launch including a sound business concept and involving all necessary stakeholders (Marketing/sales/agencies/etc).

  • Develop and implement commercial annual brand plan following ICP (Integrated Commercial Plan) process to develop communication, promotion, and I&R plan in alignment with sales.

  • Lead digital communication plan for Garden Gourmet across all digital touchpoints together with Digital Manager: owned assets (website, social media), search (SEO), paid media, e-commerce (e-content, e-retailer search).

  • Participate actively in the category planning process (demand- and supply-planning).

  • Manage the categories' performance (margin control and value chain management).

What will make you successful

  • First experience in Marketing/Brand Management or Category Development.

  • Ability to analyze, interpret and react to real time trends and commercial figures incl. P&L, and ability to identify competitive advantage and gaps.

  • Previous experience in B2B / working closely with a Field Sales Force as advantage.

  • Flexibility and adaptability with an entrepreneurial mindset (creative thinking and innovation).

  • Project management skills.

  • Fluent in German and English, French is a plus.
