Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Supervises and directs Mechanical Department personnel to ensure quality, efficiency and timely completion of assigned projects (including administration of personnel aspects, timekeeping, PTO requests and scheduling, attendance issues, discipline issues, etc.)
Serves as Project Manager (when assigned) on projects that involve multiple departments and/or divisions during repairs on Gas turbine, compressors, steam turbines.
Responsible for the continued development, maintenance, and upgrading of procedures and job work instructions applicable to machinery repairs in the interest of quality and efficiency.
Responsible for filing pertinent information such as releases, reports, issued drawings, purchase orders, emails, special instructions, material analysis, etc. in the electronic project job folder. Maintain LEAN objectives within the department.
Works closely with Component Technical reps to ensure accurate hours and material cost of assigned projects. Works closely with the Mechanical Department leadman and manager to ensure that the department has adequate tools to repair mechanical equipment safely and efficiently.
Originates and coordinates the procurement of outside services, materials, and parts with the purchasing department in an efficient manner.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
10+ years’ experience as a Mechanical Technician.
Knowledge and understanding of turbo machinery repair.
Experience leading teams in an industrial setting.
