Join Aptiv\'s amazing team of Employment Specialists and help grow the Community Employment Program of our organization. The Community Employment Program specifically assists individuals with disabilities by obtaining and retaining employment with businesses in the community. As an Employment Specialist, you will be responsible for the intake and assessment of new participants, developing community worksites for participants, and educating and supporting individuals while promoting their work and community interests. This position also prepares for and attends meetings/training and works closely with participants, families, county case managers, and service providers to advocate. Design and conduct training and development programs to improve individual and organizational performance. May analyze training needs. Qualifications: Willingness to build relationships Well-developed verbal and written communication skills Basic knowledge and understanding of issues that affect people with disabilities Flexibility in scheduling Ability to operate computer equipment Knowledge of various software packages including Windows Applications 2007 and above Access to reliable non-public transportation with required insurance coverage Valid driver\'s license Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in a related field OR an Associate\'s degree or another post-High School graduation coursework, and three years of experience in a Human Service field with no degree Knowledge of local businesses One year of documented experience working with people with disabilities One year of documented experience working in sales Benefits: We offer competitive pay, flexible working schedule, retirement option, medical, dental, and vision insurance, short and long-term disability, paid holidays, continuing education support, and a friendly fun environment.
