The Cigna Group Corporate Communications Specialist (6 months contract) in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong

Reporting into the Head of Corporate Communications, the incumbent is responsible for creating and executing effective communication plans to enhance corporate image and reputation both internally and externally.

To achieve this, this individual must design and drive effective internal and external communication plans to multi-level stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Corporate Relations : Plan, develop, implement, and measure communications and public & corporate relations activities, both external and internal

  • Media relations : support media relations activities, including reactive and proactive, and across traditional and new media channels

  • Communications channel & content management: Manage communications channels including but not limited to email, social media, blogs, press releases and/or news stories. Designs and manages high-quality content, to engage/ grow an audience and build brand awareness.

  • Brand and reputation management: Manage public and media outreach programs to generate positive publicity and brand image for the company. Monitor news coverage and relevant competitor and market news. Work with internal stakeholders to align messages and approaches to promote and protect the brand image.

  • Agency and Partners Management : Manage agency relationships including direct contact with 3rd party agencies, and partner organizations such as CSR partners, event partners, industry associations, etc.

  • Others: support and continue the development and implementation of the company’s communications activity as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with major in Language Studies, Communications, Journalism, Translations or related disciplines.

  • Minimum 5 years of solid corporate communications and public relations experience in financial services/ insurance industry; work experience in PR agencies or media will also be considered.

  • Excellent English and Traditional Chinese writing skills.

  • Tech and social media savvy, knowledge of latest digital communications platforms

  • Strong organizational, project and event management skills

  • Detail-oriented, result and quality driven.

  • Excellent at problem solving, stakeholder and time management.

  • Mature, collaborative, able to work independently.

  • Resourceful, creative, and willing to go the extra miles to achieve positive outcomes.

  • Demonstration of growth mindset to embrace challenge.

  • A good team player with good interpersonal and negotiation skills
