Head of Global Sales Development, Commercial Building Services (CBS)

As the Head of Global Sales Development, you will lead a dynamic team responsible for a wide range of activities within CBS. Your key objectives include deploying our approach to Verticals, managing diverse go-to-market models (projects, distribution, and aftermarket), and driving Commercial Excellence. We seek a strategic thinker with a proven ability to implement initiatives and programs effectively. Strong stakeholder management skills in a complex, global business environment are essential. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our sales strategy and ensuring its successful execution globally. Your main responsibilities:

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Manage direct reports and teams in line with Grundfos’ leadership principles. Develop the Global Sales Development team to achieve business objectives.

  • Collaborate actively with CBS Sales leaders globally, CBS E2E functions, and other divisions to share best practices and drive common strategic objectives. Monitor unit performance against operational standards and manage the unit budget.

CBS Sales Strategy Execution:

  • Assist the Sr. Vice President in crafting and refining CBS Sales strategy. Drive execution through proactive engagement with all sales regions.

  • Take ownership of CBS sales X-matrix initiatives, ensuring end-to-end alignment within the Division.

CBS Commercial Excellence:

  • Lead the commercial excellence roadmap in CBS, focusing on Global Key Account Management and Pricing Excellence. Collaborate closely with Group Commercial Excellence and sales regions to meet key metrics.

  • Streamline processes and explore automation to simplify sales tasks, enhancing efficiency and reliability in information delivery.

Go-to-Market Excellence and Vertical Development:

  • Develop and implement programs to enhance organizational capabilities in Project Sales & Quotation, Distribution Sales, and Aftermarket Sales.

  • Drive the Vertical approach within CBS Sales, deepening insights into 12 defined Verticals and shifting towards customer-centric solutions. Ensure transparency in go-to-market models and vertical performance, supporting Global Sales Development as the change catalyst while Sales regions retain business responsibility.

Your background:

  • Extensive leadership experience, including managing teams through next-level managers, preferably in commercial roles.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills in complex, global business settings.

  • 10-15 years of relevant work experience prior to this level, thereof 5+ years in a leadership role

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and navigate ambiguity and complexity.
