SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-FP&A Manager performs a variety of reporting job for Beckman Coulter Japan (total about 900 employees with a few hundred million USD sales).The person will provide business planning and analysis which is eventually reported to US HQ.

-Primary internal customers are his/her Manager, Head of Finance and Business Diagnostics General Manager, but expected to support other related functions such as Sales, Marketing, Service, Logistics with collaborating and aligning with global team.

-While main works of this position are periodical reporting (weekly revenue, monthly P&L review package) and annual budget planning, the person is also expected to conduct ad-hoc financial analysis including competitiveness evaluation thru various financial models development.

• Ideal outcome is to support managerial decision making and assist senior management team with patience to deliver outcome even with complicated data or short submission deadliness. The company has the culture of logical/objective approach so called “DBS – Danaher Business System”, logical and reasonable approach with analytical skill is highly expected.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monthly and Yearly Act/Fcst/Budget variance analysis.

• Manage preparation of yearly budget and monthly forecast.

• Upload accrual number (planning related number) to accounting system (Oracle) and forecast number to forecasting system (EPM, Hyperion)

• Providing business support to other functions in terms of financial analysis.

• Guide/support development of his/her direct report (50% of her job is accounting)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working experience in Finance Dept. in a multi-national company minimum 5 years.

• Budget development experience in past (+2 times is preferable)

• Understanding of US-GAAP (main), Japanese GAAP (minor).

• Advanced skill of Excel (must) and other MS Office software (Power BI plus).

• Experience of major ERP (Oracle (preferred) or SAP)

• Communication skills in Japanese (native level) and English (business level), both in written and speaking.

• Nissho Boki 2nd grade or more (CPA or equivalents, work experience at audit company is plus)

• Persistent in analyzing data, finding solution or answer
