Job Purpose

This position will reside within the systems and software engineering organization of PowerDrive systems (PDS). The role will contribute to and support the engineering development team focused on delivering electrified powertrain products (inverters, e-motors, e-drives, etc.) to global automotive OEM’s.

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Systems Engineering Intern - Electric/Hybrid Powertrain supporting the Systems Engineering Competency at our Indiana Technical Center (KTC) in Kokomo, IN.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of systems work products such as requirements, architecture and designs

  • Support in technical analysis, trade off studies, FMEAs, and design reviews

  • Support the definition and continuous improvement of systems engineering processes, methods, and tools

  • Perform system integration and testing activities

  • Document and share best-practices

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or be a graduate from an accredited college

  • GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or B average, upon initial hire date

  • Course work in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering preferred

  • Basic understanding of structured analysis and problem solving is preferred

  • Organized and structured work-style and attention to detail are required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language required

  • Strong PC knowledge and experience required

  • Teamwork – Considers and seeks out the impact of his/her actions within the team. Actively seeks collaboration with Internal and external team members.
