RTS Auto Tire Technician / Automotive Assistant in Kodiak, Alaska

Now accepting applications for aTire Technician / Automotive Assistant Position and Description This position is responsible for performing a variety of basic and technical tasks to help with shop operation, vehicle repairs, and tire services. Job Duties and Responsibilities Shop Operation Move vehicles in and around shop Shop maintenance including cleaning floors, trash removal, etc. Shop organization including equipment, tools, supplies and parts Assist with Vehicle Repairs Support our Service Manager with vehicle repairs Second set of hands for heavy line repairs Tire Services Inspecting and assessing tire tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality, and overall health Perform tire rotations, balancing, and other maintenance tasks Installing new tires and wheels Repairing punctures and replacing faulty valves Studding tires for snow use Conducting inventory and maintaining equipment Job Requirements Ability to follow verbal and written directions Desire to learn and develop technical abilities Valid driver's license Physical Requirements Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Have full body mobility and be able to twist, turn, bend at the waist, and squat Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time with hands above the head Willing to work in varying weather and temperature conditions Time Commitment Full Time - 40 hours per week plus overtime. Monday through Friday between 9am and 6pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm
