Pacific Seafood Refrigeration Technician in Kodiak, Alaska

Summary:

The Refrigeration Technician will ensure optimal maintenance of all industrial refrigeration systems and their components. Achievement in this role will include collaboration with various teams, ensuring to uphold operational and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational understanding of refrigeration systems, adhering to plant operating and maintenance procedures.

  • Perform scheduled Mechanical Integrity Inspections, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly checks.

  • Ensure that daily system logs are accurately documented and submitted as required.

  • Perform routine service, pre/post-season maintenance.

  • Support supervisors in conducting pre/post-season parts and supply inventories.

  • All other duties as assigned

    What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

  • Previous experience in refrigeration, either through a Refrigeration Tech Program or job experience.

  • Extensive working knowledge of ammonia-based refrigeration systems, with hands-on experience in industrial or commercial refrigeration.

    Certification Requirements:

    • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification-preferred.
  • Certified Refrigerating Engineers & Technicians Association (RETA) certification preferred.

  • Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) or equivalent certification preferred.

  • Current 24-Hr. HAZWoper certificate is preferred.

    Pay Range: $25.00 to $30.00 hourly based on experience
