Job Description

The purpose of this job is to, with supervision from the Manager of Internal Communications, implement internal communications strategy, while coordinating with the business and Brand team to ensure the regular, timely and relevant flow of information throughout the organization to support improved team member engagement.

  1. Create all copy writing activity relating to internal communications

  2. Help develop and manage the delivery of comprehensive and coordinated internal communications strategies that support the company’s goals and objectives

  3. Help prepare presentations, scripts, and speeches for management and executives

  4. Collaborate with all corporate departments to develop plans for communicating specific initiatives

  5. Provide continuous improvement of core internal communication channels (e.g., newsletters, events, intranet)

  6. Assist in the maintenance of communications guidelines for all team member usage

  7. Maintain company policies and procedures, monitor company media, and utilize electronic publishing technology

  8. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level

  9. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

  10. Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in corporate communications, public relations, journalism, English, or similar field required

  • Minimum three years’ experience within a communication role required

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a dedicated internal communications role required

Specialized Knowledge

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Mastery of Associated Press (AP) Style writing

Competencies

  • Extremely detail oriented

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills and ability to expand relationships

  • Strong editing skills

  • Must be results driven, self-starter, and proactive
