[[Duties/Responsibilities: ]{arial="" narrow",sans-serif"=""}]{arial",sans-serif"=""}

  • Management and supervisory work involving the organization, planning, implementation and evaluation of a variety of health promotion activities and initiatives for older adults.
  • Provide resources and technical assistance to senior centers, service agencies and consumers in a multi-county region to promote health related activities.
  • Identify potential community resources to provide health related services and serving as an advocate for older adult health issues.
  • Review current literature and research on the aging process.
  • Prepare service delivery reports and assist with the preparation of grants for submission to potential funding sources.

[[Qualifications/Requirements: ]{arial="" narrow",sans-serif"=""}]{arial",sans-serif"=""}

  • Graduation from an accredited four year college of university with a B.A. (B.S.) Degree in Social Services, Human Services, Health Sciences or related filed (Masters Degree preferred);
  • Thorough knowledge of gerontology and the aging processes;
  • Thorough knowledge of regional resources available to provide health related services to the elderly;
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, decision-making skills, and ability to effectively evaluate programs for the elderly;
  • Ability to provide productive advice and assistance when necessary; or
  • Experience performing research related activities and preparing grant applications;
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Valid Tennessee Driver license
