What You’ve Accomplished

You have completed a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or Mechatronics Engineering and are registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineering License (P. Eng). You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in an engineering role for at least 2 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

    This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As an Electrical Engineer in Kincardine, Ontario, you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include:

  • Under general supervision, performs varied and difficult engineering tasks requiring application of established techniques and procedures. Assignments involve responsibility for planning/conducting a complete task or portion of a larger project under direction of more experienced staff. Provides technical support related to planning, designing, analyzing, constructing and maintaining structures, systems and components.

  • Performs routine and non-routine engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems.

  • Ensures compliance with government, organization and customer engineering standards.

  • Builds knowledge of organization processes and customers.

  • Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.

  • Utilizes existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product lifecycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies

  • Actively participates in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd.

  • I&C Engineering Core Skills:

  • Control logic, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams

  • Instrument Selection and Calibration Specifications

  • Electrical Engineering Core Skills:

  • Power distribution, Motor Control Centers and Switchgear, High Voltage Systems and Equipment Design

  • Lighting design, Lightning protection, Grounding

  • Battery and UPS sizing and design

  • Use of engineering analysis software such as ETAP
