Salary $20.00 per hour

Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week - max 19.5 hrs/week

Summary of Position

Central Texas College’s Continuing Education Department is seeking dynamic, qualified part-time adjunct faculty to teach a variety of courses. We are looking for passionate instructors to join our team and make a significant impact in our community by delivering high-quality educational experiences.

This job performs general instructional work and must be knowledgeable in the subject area being taught. The position will know procedures to achieve a positive learning environment for students and create a favorable work environment for the Continuing Education department.

Subjects of Interest:

  • Arts

  • Education (K-12 & Adult)

  • Physical Fitness (Swim Instructors)

  • Language Education

  • Computer Classes

  • Classes for Senior Citizens

  • Classes for Kids (College for Kids Program)

    Minimum Required Education

  • High School or GED required with acceptable combinations of education and work experience.

  • Pertinent certifications when required for subject matter taught.

    Minimum Required Experience

  • Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a continuing education or community college setting.

  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the subject areas listed above.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and ages.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging course content that meets the needs and interests of adult learners.

  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.

  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide timely feedback.

  • Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities as required.

  • Adhere to Central Texas College policies and procedures.
